The Cheryl L. Diamond Building

In 1920, the Meeker family founded the Oceanic Free Library in Rumson as a memorial to their son, William Henry, who died in an aviation accident in France during World War l.

Since then, the library has been at the core of this community, providing programs and events for adults and children, knitting, bridge groups and local artisan display.

Each year, we ask for your support for operating expenses not covered by tax revenue allocated to the Monmouth County Library.
